Delta North Traditional rulers forum has conversed the need for the collection of the PVC by their subjects to ensure for the performance of their legitimate civic responsibilities.
The monarchs also called for peace and unity among the various communities and villages in the state to ensure development and security.
These were the highlights of the resolutions reached at the meeting Chaired by HRM Obi Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor, the traditional ruler of Owa Kingdom who is also the Chairman of Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.
The meeting which held on Tuesday at the palace of the traditional ruler of Issele-Uku kingdom, HRM Obi Nduka was attended by no fewer that 40 traditional rulers of Anioma extraction.
Top on the agenda wast the issue of security challenges which the kings observed has become very worrisome to the communities . They also discussed ways of working with the security agents and the State Government in checking the social menace.
The Royal Fathers also observed that many people from Delta North were yet to obtain their PVCs, and emphasized the need to carry out awareness programmes to their subjects.
They agreed to sensitize their subjects on the need not only to get their PVCs, but to also turn out en-mass to vote during the elections.
The Delta North Traditional Rulers Council is not a political body. The royal fathers do not also belong to political parties but are fathers to everyone. They work in collaboration with the Local, State and Federal Government in making sure that there were peace, unity, love and harmonious living among the people and communities in the district.
