BREAKING: Armed Thugs Allegedly Linked to MC Oluomo Attack NUJ Secretariat, Injure Participants

There was chaos at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council Secretariat in Utako, Abuja, as armed thugs linked to Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, attacked the Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria (BCAN) during their inauguration ceremony.

The attack occurred shortly after Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande left the event.

The group, affiliated with the National Union of Roads Transport Workers (NURTW), had hired the main hall for the event.

The thugs, wearing caps with MC Oluomo’s portrait, stormed the venue, brandishing machetes, knives, bottles, and sticks.

Led by Segun Aluwaye, claiming to be Berger Park’s chairman, they forced open the secretariat’s main gate and unleashed mayhem on government officials, guests, and participants. Many were injured, and valuable items were destroyed.

BCAN Chairman Prince Israel Ade Adeshola expressed shock, describing the incident as unfortunate.

He said, “We are at the NUJ Secretariat today to inaugurate our association Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria (BCAN). In the cause of the event, some miscreants stormed the venue of the event with cutlasses, daggers, knives and other dangerous weapons and chased all the dignitaries and invited guests out of the hall while they injured many of our members.

“They were wearing face caps bearing Oluomo pictures and destroyed many items.”

“They also attacked security agents including police, DSS operatives and Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO). They chased people into different offices and injured them.”

The police have yet to comment on the development.
