Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpbebholo has appointed Amadin Desmond Enabulele, as the Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission.
The appointment of the business mogul and others in the new board was made by the Governor on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Other board members include; Mrs Sabina Chikere as Director General, Hon Frank Ilaboya as Edo North Representative, Barrister Anthony Odianosen Ikuenobe as Edo Central Representative while Baldwin Bazuaye is to represent Edo South in the board.
The Governor’s approval is subject to the confirmation of the state House of Assembly
Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance Football Club and Edo Queens FC have congratulated the new board executive of the Edo state Sports Commission.
In separate press statements, the secretaries of the state owned teams Charles Ihimekpen and Kate Dirisu described the appointment of Mrs Chikere Sabina as Director General of the Edo Sports Commission and that of Hon Frank Ilaboya as a reunion.
Mrs Sabina Chikere was former Coordinator General of Bendel Insurance FC and Edo Queens and later appointed Permanent Secretary of Edo State Sports Commission in the previous administration.They also see the appointment of Baldwin Bazuaye,former Bendel Insurance FC player and coach as a welcome development.
The clubs management assured the newly appointed Chairman of the Commission Desmond Enabulele of their unwaivering loyalty and support.
