New Port Harcourt Refinery Is Over 90% Completed – NNPCL Declares

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced that the new Port Harcourt refinery is over 90% completed.

This revelation was made by the Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL, Mele Kyari, during a visit by labour leaders from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) to the facility in Rivers State on Monday.

Kyari was referring to the 150,000 barrels per day refinery.

Notedly, the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) has two refineries, including the 60,000bpd facility and the 150,000bpd plant.

It can be recalled that the 60,000 barrels per day refinery, commenced operations last week and is currently refining at 70% capacity.
