Brave Sokoto vigilantes repel bandits midnight attack

Vigilantes and community watchmen in Tara, Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, thwarted an attempted bandit invasion on Monday, December 30, 2024.

The attack, led by a notorious gunman known as “Kallamu,” was repelled through the coordinated efforts and bravery of the local defenders.

Intelligence sources revealed that the vigilance and patriotism of the town’s protectors played a critical role in averting what could have been a devastating assault.

Community leaders in Tara commended the efforts of the vigilantes and urged residents to remain alert to prevent infiltration by informants.

According to Zagazola, the informants, often young individuals, are accused of undermining security efforts for personal gain, regardless of their political or educational affiliations.
