JUST IN: Drama in court as Otudeko’s lawyer challenges EFCC over fraud charges

Counsel to Oba Otudeko, Chairman of Honeywell Group, appeared before a Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday to protest the N12.3 billion fraud charges levelled against him.

Bode Olanipekun (SAN), representing Otudeko and two other defendants, argued that the charges had not been properly served on the accused parties.

They include Otudeko, former First Bank Managing Director Olabisi Onasanya, and ex-Honeywell board member Soji Akintayo.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had filed a 13-count charge accusing the trio, along with the firm Anchorage Leisure Ltd., of obtaining the sum under false pretences.
