May your leadership illuminate path for stronger Ghana, Africa – Peter Obi to John Mahama

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi on Tuesday, January 7, congratulated the newly elected President of Ghana, John Mahama on his inauguration.

In a post made on X, Obi said the people of Ghana spoke loudly during the country’s election in an unmistakable voice.

He noted that the election of Mahama as president of Ghana is a clear indication that the people were eager to push the reset button of their country.

Stating that Ghanaians have given Mahama the mandate to reset the system, Obi urged the newly elected president to ensure the delivers on the expectations of the people.

He said, “My earnest prayer is that God Almighty will be with you and grant you the wisdom and willpower to prioritize the welfare of Ghana’s people rather than the few. You should strive to always be exemplary in your commitment to the masses and dedication to inclusive development.

“I extend my heartfelt wishes to you and the people of Ghana as they embark on this journey of hope and resilience. May this new chapter be marked by peace, prosperity, and the realization of their collective aspirations. Congratulations once again, my dear brother,” Obi said.

He added that he hopes that Mahama’s leadership continue to illuminate the path for a stronger Ghana and a better Africa of Kwame Nkrumah’s dreams.
