More trouble in Rivers as Assembly issues arrest warrant on RSIEC chair

The political crisis in Rivers State has taken a new turn as the lawmakers of the Rivers State House of Assembly slammed an arrest warrant on the chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).

The arrest warrant was issued by the lawmakers against Justice Adolphus Enebeli (rtd) on Monday, March 10.

This warrant comes barely 72 hours after the Assembly issued an ultimatum for Enebeli to appear before it.

However, having failed to respond or honour the invitation by the Rivers Assembly, the House directed Enebeli’s immediate arrest by relevant authorities.
