Popular social media influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa has responded to the reports of a missing Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) candidate in Lagos, highlighting concerns about how things are done in Nigeria.
GistLover previously reported that a man had raised alarm online after his sister went missing on her way to write the JAMB UTME exam.
In a viral video, Enioluwa questioned why the exam body would schedule a national examination for secondary school students as early as 6 AM. He argued that JAMB would not be able to provide any reasonable explanation for such a timing.
He went on to say that incidents like a candidate going missing could have been prevented if the exam timetable had taken into account the current security situation in the country.
“People’s children went to write an exam. Now they can’t find their children. A thing that could have been avoided. Again, the central issue is the lack of value placed on a human life. We have become so familiar with death in this part of the world, that we now think it is OKAY for someone to die. Such a dangerous thing,” he said.
Enioluwa’s video has gone viral amid reports of the missing JAMB candidate, bringing attention to the critical issue of security and exam scheduling in Nigeria.
