‘It’s time for us to sheath our swords’, Nenadi Usman tells Abure, other LP members

The National Caretaker Committee of the Labour Party led by Nenadi Usman has called on all members of the party to sheath their swords.

Usman while speaking at the National Executive Council meeting which took place in Abuja on Wednesday, said it is important for members and leaders of the party to work together.

She said, “I am happy to communicate that the consequence of the decision of the Supreme Court judgement is that the Labour Party can now start on its journey for a rebirth.”

According to Usman, the decision of the Supreme Court marks a history of the existence of the party where truth, integrity and responsible leadership strive.

Usman said it is important to note that the Labour Party can now move forward in line with its principles for the growth and development of the party and Nigeria as a whole.

“The Apex Court has delivered its judgement and it is time for us to sheath our swords,” Usman said.

She further called on all party members – whether aggrieved by the decision of the Supreme Court judgement or not – to set aside their grievances and come together to work for the good of the party and Nigeria.
