The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was held nationwide on Thursday.
This was revealed in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
According to the statement, candidates can access their results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they used during registration.
Benjamin explained that the mock exam was organized to evaluate the board’s new innovations and give candidates a chance to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
Out of the 200,115 candidates who initially registered for the exam, two withdrew, leaving a total of 200,113. Of those, 73,844 candidates were absent on the exam day, while 88 were unable to proceed due to biometric verification issues.
As a result, 126,181 candidates successfully sat for the mock examination, with results for 115,735 of them already released. The remaining 10,446 results are still being processed and will be made available soon.
The board acknowledged technical delays experienced by some candidates, attributing them to new features introduced to enhance the main UTME. It expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and appreciated the understanding and support of candidates and their parents.
UGAMA TV reports that the mock exam functions as a rehearsal for the UTME, allowing JAMB to test new procedures while helping candidates adapt to the CBT environment.
JAMB also encouraged candidates to remain committed to ensuring a smooth and effective exam experience that aligns with their academic goals.
