‘Nobody dares Tantita’, Tompolo fumes over shut down of 28,000bpd oil facility by protesters

Government Ekpemupolo, the chief executive officer, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has dissociated himself and his company from the protest and shut down of the 28,000 barrel per day facility in Warri by some Itsekiri natives.

In a statement Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo denied allegations that he was using Federal Government contract to deploy means to annihilate Itsekiris.

Signed by the Head of Press for Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Paul Bebenimibo, the statement said Tompolo was not part of any alleged collaborations aimed at marginalising the Itsekiri people.

Bebenimibo also said that the oil field is not under the jurisdiction of Tantita and that the company is only interested in carrying out its security duties.

According to Tompolo, the controversial Ogidigben oil field affected by the protesting natives was under the watch of PINL, not Tantita.

“Nobody dares Tantita. The issue has nothing to do with Tantita and Tompolo. It is not only Tantita that is doing the security job. The Olu of Itsekiri’s company, Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited, is also covering that area,” the statement said.
