The Flying Eagles dominated much of the first period, pressing high and maintaining control in midfield. Their efforts nearly paid off earlier when Samson Lawal saw his curling shot narrowly miss the post in the 25th minute. Tunisia, on the other hand, struggled to cope with Nigeria’s pace and pressing, creating few clear-cut chances.
As the halftime whistle blows, Nigeria lead 1-0 — a scoreline that reflects their superior intensity and execution. They’ll be hoping to build on this momentum when play resumes in the second half.
