President Federation Cup: Kwara United Knock Out Rangers, Set Up Historic Final Against Abakaliki FC

Kwara United have booked their place in the final of the President Federation Cup after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rangers International, thanks to a decisive strike from Alalade.

The thrilling semi-final clash saw Kwara United edge past the Enugu-based side in a tense affair, with Alalade’s goal proving the difference and sending the former champions crashing out of the competition.

The victory sets up a historic final against Abakaliki FC, who stunned Ikorodu City in the other semi-final, triumphing 5-4 on penalties after regulation time ended goalless.

It will be Kwara United’s first appearance in the Federation Cup final, and they will face a spirited Abakaliki FC side also reaching this stage for the first time in their history.

The stakes are high, as the winner of the final will earn the right to represent Nigeria in the 2025/2026 CAF Confederation Cup.
