The Dangote Refinery has announced a further reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, bringing the new price down to ₦820 per litre, from the previous ₦840.
This latest price cut, confirmed on Tuesday by Dangote Group spokesperson Anthony Chiejina, follows a recent reduction by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) and signals ongoing price adjustments in the domestic fuel market.
The ₦20 reduction comes just one week after the refinery had previously slashed petrol prices from ₦880 to ₦840, resulting in a total ₦60 drop (6.82%) within seven days.
According to UGAMA TV , the adjustment reflects a potential trend toward stabilising prices and easing the burden on Nigerian consumers amid ongoing economic challenges.
Further details are expected as the development unfolds.
