Brown Ideye Gets New Role at Atlantic Business FC After Leaving Enyimba

Super Eagles legend Brown Ideye has landed a new job just weeks after leaving Enyimba, the club run by Kanu Nwankwo.

Lower league side Atlantic Business FC have announced that Ideye is now their Director of Player Pathways and Partnerships. The club shared the news on social media, calling it a big step for the team.

“We are proud to welcome Brown Ideye – 2013 AFCON winner and Super Eagles icon – to our club,” they said.

The 36-year-old will now focus on helping young players grow and finding strong partnerships to raise the club’s profile in Nigeria and abroad. With years of experience in top leagues in Europe, Nigeria, and the Middle East – including the English Premier League – Ideye brings a lot of knowledge and contacts.

He recently visited Atlantic Business and watched them beat Mailantarki Crae FC 3-1 to reach the N-Youth League final. They later lost to Kwara United’s U19 team.

Speaking about his new role, Ideye said:

“I’m happy to join this great club and help young players. That’s what I want to do at this stage of my life.

Atlantic Business is well-run and has talented young footballers. I’ve seen them play. I believe this is going to be a great partnership, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Ideye left Enyimba in May 2025 after joining them last December as a free agent. He scored four goals in 10 games before the team finished sixth in the league and dropped out of the CAF Confederation Cup.

His new role at Atlantic Business comes just after he criticised Enyimba, saying the club didn’t treat players well during his time there.

Now, Ideye begins a new journey, aiming to help the next generation of Nigerian footballers reach the top.
