Warri Wolves and Kun Khalifat FC Promoted to NPFL

Warri Wolves FC are back in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after finishing top of the Southern Conference in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 Playoffs.

Kun Khalifat FC from Imo State have also made history by reaching the NPFL for the first time. They are the first private club from the state to achieve this.

Warri Wolves beat Crown FC 2-1 to confirm their return to the top league. Kun Khalifat also won 2-1 against Osun United, finishing second and earning their promotion.

Earlier, Wikki Tourists and Barau FC also secured their spots in the NPFL. That makes a total of four teams moving up to the top division.

Warri Wolves and Wikki Tourists will now face each other in the final of the NNL Super 8 Playoffs to decide the overall champion for the 2024/2025 NPFL season.
