NAF Air Strikes Kill Scores of Terrorists, Destroy Insurgent Base in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that air operations by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI killed scores of terrorists and destroyed an insurgent enclave in Borno State.

This was disclosed on Thursday in Abuja by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information.

Ejodame said the precision strikes were carried out on Wednesday at around 10:50 a.m. in Bula Madibale, Gezuwa area.

According to him, intelligence and surveillance had detected unusual movements at the location, where about 45 terrorists were observed converging, some arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from different directions.

“Reconnaissance also revealed two terrorist flags hoisted at the site, highlighting its use as a gathering point for insurgents,” he said.

Acting on this intelligence, the Air Component launched targeted strikes that eliminated several terrorists and destroyed the flagged structure along with other assets used by the insurgents.

Ejodame added that the operation disrupted the terrorists’ ability to regroup, reinforce, or launch further attacks on communities in the North East.

“The Armed Forces remain committed to restoring peace and stability across the region,” he said.
