The National Chairman, Former Deputy Governor’s Forum Chris Akomas has commended the administration of President Bola Tinubu’s for implementing economic resolutions and solutions brought forward by the forum of former deputy governors of Nigeria.
Akomas made this disclosure on Thursday at the official opening of the forum’s nes secretariat , in Abuja .
He insisted that the forum plays a cardinal role in the country’s nation-building.
According to him, the country is on the right path to achieving its full potential for generations to come.
“The forum is spurred by the interest of nation-building and development. We believe that Nigeria can achieve it best for our country and generations to come.
“Last year our conference was on issues around economics. We came up with suggestions and resolutions. I am happy to say the resolutions were implemented by this government,” he told journalists in an interview at the forum’s new secretariat in Abuja.
In his remarks, Nigerian Senator and former governor and deputy governor of Sokoto state, Aliyu Wammako, noted that the forum portends unity and ensures good governance for the benefit of all Nigerians.
“It portends unity for the country and ensures good governance. What the country needs are leaders that can come together for the interest of the nation to build a better Nigeria,” he said.
Also speaking, Former women minister Pauline Tallen said the forum is committed to moving the country forward.
She stressed that the forum is united beyond political parties to support government in its strive to make Nigeria a better place.
