With just 25 days left on the clock, excitement is building as Yetunde Olopade, Managing Director of Nilayo Sports Management Limited (NSML), declares that Abuja is fully primed to deliver a world-class sporting spectacle when the PremiumTrust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon returns for its much-anticipated second edition on December 6, 2025.
Speaking with a tone of confidence and purpose, Olopade insisted the event will “cement Nigeria’s place on the global athletics map,” adding that preparations have entered their final phase with military precision.

The 2025 theme, “Steady Stride,” captures the essence of marathon running but also reflects Nigeria’s broader pursuit of excellence—steady, focused, and determined.
“This race mirrors our national spirit,” Olopade noted. “Every runner on that start line represents commitment, discipline, and belief in progress.”
Behind the scenes, Abuja is humming with activity. Race routes have been measured with exacting precision, volunteers are undergoing final training drills, and city infrastructure is being polished for thousands of visitors.
