BBNaija reality star Adekunle Olopade has given a positive update following his earlier claims of police brutality, revealing that justice has now been served.
Sharing the news via X, Adekunle expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Police Command Complaint Response Unit and ACP Oluyemisi Ojo of the Area J Command, Elemoro, Ibeju Lekki, for their quick intervention and detailed investigation that led to identifying and disciplining the officers involved.
“I just left the Elemoro Police Station, and thanks to their efforts, the police officers were found, and disciplinary action has been taken against them. Justice has been served! The weight on my shoulders has been lifted,” he wrote.
He described the development as a great relief and a sign that justice is still attainable even when public confidence in law enforcement seems low. Adekunle also encouraged anyone who suffers harassment from security officers to report such cases and gather evidence, stressing that accountability is possible.
Reflecting on the incident, he said, “I shouldn’t have experienced what I went through, and neither should any Nigerian simply going about their business. While there are good officers out there, the bad ones exist too. Harassment is unacceptable, and no one deserves to go through that.”
Adekunle wrapped up by thanking his fans, friends, and well-wishers for their support, saying the experience reinforced the importance of standing for justice. “It is indeed a blessing to know I was not alone during this period. Now it’s time to focus on being me again,” he added.
