Rising Defections Prove People Now Trust APC’s Leadership — Yilwatda Boasts

Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says the steady rise in defections to the party reflects growing confidence in the APC’s leadership, which he believes is poised to take on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and secure victory in the 2027 governorship election in Plateau State.

He made this known in Jos during a reception held for new defectors from the PDP, Labour Party, PRP, and NNPP.

According to Nentawe, the steady rise in defections reflects growing confidence in the APC.

“These defections prove that more people now believe in our direction and leadership,” he said.

He noted that the APC has been restructuring its internal systems, expanding its membership base, and strengthening collaboration across all levels in Plateau.

He added that the party is not only working toward legislative wins but is firmly determined to reclaim the governorship.

Nentawe also said the APC will continue to welcome new members who are ready to contribute meaningfully to the party’s success.

He urged members to remain focused, united, and committed to grassroots mobilisation ahead of 2027.
