‘Northern Security ‘Polluted’ by Repentant Boko Haram Terrorists’, Says Rev. Dachomo

The Regional Leader of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Plateau State, Rev Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that Nigeria’s security architecture, particularly in the North, has been compromised by the integration of so‑called repentant Boko Haram members into the system.

Rev Dachomo made the claim on Monday during an interview on Monday, while speaking on the worsening insecurity and what he described as an ongoing genocide against Christians in northern Nigeria, the cleric said the absorption of former insurgents was endangering the country.

According to him, “The security system has been polluted by the absorption of repentant Boko Haram members.

“They assist from within, and they are the ones providing information. They are still working with their brothers in the bush.”

He urged the Federal Government to take decisive action, stressing that communities may resort to self‑defence if necessary.

“The Federal Government should do what it needs to do. It should never arrest anybody for killing a cow with chemicals.

“To avoid further problems, we will start putting chemicals on our farmlands. If their cows die, we are ready for self-defence. This is not like before. Let me tell you, if the Nigerian Army is withdrawn, you will see peace,” he said.
