Former Nigeria U17 invitee Comfort Erhabor has officially signed permanently with Portsmouth FC Women, ahead of the 2025–26 WSL2 campaign. The 20-year-old goalkeeper completed her registration and participated in a club photoshoot, confirming her status as Pompey’s new safe hands.
Erhabor, a product of Brighton & Hove Albion’s youth system, had previously joined Portsmouth on loan and impressed during the latter stages of the 2024–25 season. Her commanding performances and composure between the posts convinced the club to secure her on a one-year deal, with an option for a further year.

Portsmouth’s head coach, Jay Sadler, welcomed her back with enthusiasm: “We’re really pleased to welcome Comfort back to the club on a permanent deal. She’s a goalkeeper with real character and she showed glimpses of her potential during her short loan spell with us last season.”
Before her Pompey stint, Erhabor sharpened her game with developmental loans at Hibernian and Plymouth Argyle, gaining critical first-team experience. Her professional journey began in January 2024 when she signed her first contract with Brighton.
Internationally, Erhabor has featured for Nigeria’s U17 team and remains a strong contender for future call-ups at the U20 or senior level, thanks to her technical prowess, agility, and leadership skills.
With her permanent arrival, Erhabor is poised to make a lasting impact for Portsmouth Women as they aim to solidify their position in the WSL2 under their newly professionalized structure.
