The first leg in Accra had ended in a goalless stalemate, setting the stage for a decisive clash in Uyo.

The Super Eagles B team broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when Sodiq Ismail of Remo Stars found the back of the net. Just three minutes later, his teammate Nduka Junior doubled Nigeria’s advantage, igniting cheers from the home crowd.

The momentum continued as Enugu Rangers’ Saviour Isaac added a third goal in the 25th minute, giving Nigeria a commanding 3-0 lead within seven electric minutes.

Ghana managed to salvage some pride in the 73rd minute with a goal from Stephen Amankuna, but it was not enough to alter the outcome.

The victory marks a significant milestone for Nigeria, who had previously trailed Ghana in aggregate head-to-head scorelines in their CHAN encounters, including a loss in the semi-finals of the 2014 edition.

It was a day of double disappointment for Ghana, as the Black Stars also failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

With the win, Nigeria secures its place in the CHAN final tournament, set to be hosted jointly by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
