Zamalek held to draw by Enyimba in CAF Confederation Cup thriller

The TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup action continued on Sunday, 8 December, with thrilling matches across Africa. The race for the prestigious title, currently held by Egyptian giants Zamalek SC, is heating up as teams battle through the tough group stages.

Zamalek, the defending champions, faced former African champions Enyimba in a Group D match in Uyo. The match ended in a 2-2 draw after a dramatic second half, with both teams showing great fight.

Zamalek was in control for much of the game, taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Seifeddine Jaziri and Omar Faraj in the first half. However, Enyimba fought back, with Ufere Chukwu and Ifeanyi Ihemekwele scoring to level the match at 2-2.

After the draw, Zamalek stays top of Group D with four points, while Enyimba moves up to third with their first point of the group stage.
