The rescheduled Matchday 30 fixture played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Wednesday saw Daniel Ogunmodede’s men showcased resilience after going two goals down, with goals from Haruna Hadi and substitute John Abah salvaging a crucial point.

The Sky Blue Stars now sit comfortably atop the NPFL standings with 61 points from 32 matches, six points clear of second-placed Rivers United.

Lobi Stars started the stronger of the two sides, taking the lead through Johnmark Atule before Onyekachi Okafor doubled their advantage, putting the hosts firmly in control of the game.

However, Remo Stars responded in the second half, with Hadi finding the back of the net in the 56th minute to spark the comeback.

The momentum shifted as the visitors continued to press, and their persistence paid off when Abah struck the equaliser with 20 minutes left on the clock.

The result underlines Remo Stars’ title credentials and keeps them firmly in control of their destiny, keeping the hope of winning historic NPFL title alive as the 2024 NPFL season heads into its final six matches
