Ezenwata previously represented England at the UEFA U17 European Championship qualifiers last year, where he scored twice on his debut for the Young Lions.
Now, he has chosen to honour his Nigerian roots and dreams of proudly wearing the green badge at this year’s World Cup.
Eligible to represent Nigeria through his father and Cameroon through his mother, Chizzy has been in electric form.
Last season, he recorded 16 goal contributions in the U18 Premier League, and this pre-season he’s been shining for both Chelsea’s U21s and U18s netting twice against Stoke City U21s and adding another goal in a 3–0 win over Watford U18s.
The future looks bright for this remarkable young talent.
