JUST IN: Nenadi Usman leads Labour Party NEC meeting in Abuja [PHOTOS]

With the controversy over the recent Supreme Court judgement on the national chairmanship position for the Labour Party, Nenadi Usman is currently presiding over the party’s National Executive Council meeting.

Usman, a former minister of finance alongside other party leaders and members including Olumide Akpata, Peter Ameh and Chima Amadi were present at the meeting currently taking place in Abuja.

This meeting comes barely hours after the Nigeria Labour Congress threatened to invade all offices of the Labour Party across the country.

NLC president, Joe Ajaero’s threat follows the judgment of the Supreme Court sacking the factional chairman of the party, Julius Abure.

Ajaero said the NLC cannot sit back and watch the Abure-led faction of the party defy the Supreme Court’s pronouncement.
